Types of jet pump applications

The working fluid of jet pumps can be gas (air or vapor) and liquid. Common ones are water vapor jet pump, air jet pump and water jet pump. There is also a kind of jet pump with oil as medium, namely oil diffusion pump and oil booster pump, which is the main equipment used to obtain high vacuum or ultra-high vacuum.
Water vapor jet pump
Water vapor jet pump is a kind of jet vacuum pump which uses water vapor as working medium and can exhaust directly to the atmosphere. This kind of pump is fast starting, small footprint, wide working pressure range, large pumping capacity, and can pump out dusty, corrosive and flammable and explosive gases. If you can use the remaining or waste steam is more economical. The disadvantage of this pump is the high investment in civil construction (installation height of some need more than 10m) and cooling water consumption. The compression ratio of single-stage water vapor jet pump is generally not more than 10.
Air jet pump
Air jet pump is the use of compressed air or atmospheric pressure air as the working medium. Relying on airflow at the nozzle outlet to generate low pressure to pump air or other gases, and then compress it out. According to the working medium is high-pressure air or atmospheric air, divided into general air jet pump and atmospheric jet pump. Air injection pump working medium consumption, must have a large capacity of air compressor. Most of the general air injection pumps are single-stage.
Water jet pump
When the required vacuum is not too high, the water jet pump with certain pressure of water as working fluid can be used to generate vacuum. The speed of water jet is often around 15-30m/s. It belongs to rough vacuum equipment. Since the water jet pump has the double function of generating vacuum and condensing steam, it is extremely widely used.

The basic components of a centrifugal pump are a high-speed rotating impeller and a fixed worm-shaped pump casing. Usually centrifugal pumps have a number of (usually 4-12) backward curved vane impeller fastened to the pump shaft, and with the pump shaft driven by the motor for high-speed rotation.

After the centrifugal pump starts, the pump shaft will drive the impeller together for high-speed rotational movement, forcing the pre-filled liquid between the blades to rotate, under the action of inertia centrifugal force, the liquid from the center of the impeller to the periphery for radial movement.

There are many types of centrifugal pumps, and the common classification methods are as follows:
